Fish Oil Vs Krill Oil

Some people have concerns about the safety of fish oil due to the possibility of contamination with heavy metals and other pollutants.

These tend to build up in the system of the fish over a period of time. The bigger and older the fish, the greater the risk.

Supporters of krill oil claim that krill, being much smaller and shorter lived, represent a much safer option. I am not sure that I agree with this.

I believe that fish sourced from the cleanest oceans and then processed in the right way can be just as safe.

Having said that, I haven’t made a great study of krill oil. I just present the option here for those who have.

I also have a page on Flax seed Oil as another alternative.
